Hello and welcome! My name is Allie Genia. I’m a children’s librarian at the DC Public Library system, currently serving at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library. I’m an Odawa nonbinary person who loves to read and loves sharing stories.

This blog is an effort to highlight some of the really wonderful books I’ve come across recently and to hopefully highlight marginalized voices in children’s literature. From time to time, I may also share other cool stuff that I get to participate in here as well.

It’s my face!

I’m excited to make new connections! My social media presences tend to be more personal than professional, but if my extremely silly pictures on Instagram are interesting to you, you can find a link below. I’ve also linked my LinkedIn, where I’m a little less silly. (But only a little bit.)
